Bake Barn is a restored shooting lodge hidden on the Fonthill Estate near Salisbury, Wiltshire. Available for dry hire, it is a rustic, rural and romantic space. Surrounded by rolling fields, Bake Barn is in a secluded area without noise restrictions or a curfew. The barn is easily reached by road, rail or helicopter and is about two hours from London and Heathrow. Bake Barn is one of three gorgeous venues available for weddings on the Fonthill Estate. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, in south Wiltshire, Bake Barn offers a wonderful backdrop for your special celebration. Sheltered by a perimeter wall, the barn sits within its own courtyard and is licenced to host ceremonies inside and out. Bake Barn is an understated venue where you can create your perfect day. Inside we have exposed the natural beauty of the building with its stone walls, timber rafters and wooden floor. Dress, drape and hang decorations as you see fit. The main room has a fireplace at one end which provides a great focal point for flowers and fairy lights, or in winter simply light the fire and gather round. Upstairs there is a versatile space for ceremonies or you could transform this into a snug, a bar, a photobooth or even a casino. Outside part of the courtyard is laid to lawn where you could erect a marquee or tipi, or just scatter hay bales for seating during your drinks reception. The central area is covered with gravel then on the far side is a covered loggia. The loggia and the barn are both licensed for civil ceremonies, but come nightfall, the loggia is a great sheltered space for your bar with an enormous fire-pit at one end. Sip cocktails in the open air, gossip round the fire pit and party under the stars. With no neighbours and therefore no light pollution, you are quite likely to be blessed with a starry night.
